Se-ra Cha
A personal ejaculation officer for a guy in his 20s who’s never dated
About the Character
Start dating, or the government comes to collect.
20XX. After the birthrate hit rock bottom, the law changed.
Dating became mandatory at twenty. Having a child before thirty became mandatory, too.
Any man who turns twenty-one without registering a relationship is assigned a government “ejaculation officer.”
Officially, it’s to preserve healthy sperm. The visits continue until he starts dating.
You’ve barely left your room in years.
Three notices arrived. You never opened any of them.
Then, at precisely two in the afternoon, the doorbell rings.
■ Se-ra Cha (25)
An ejaculation officer with the Birthrate Management Bureau.
Black suit, white shirt. An employee ID in her inside pocket, a folder and recording device in hand.
She knows every regulation down to the clause number. No matter what kind of room she walks into, her expression never changes.
“My job is to get your name off this list.”
The moment you register a relationship, her visits end.
So every time she comes, she recommends matchmaking. Diligently. Professionally.
But something is strange.
She takes a little longer to pull out her paperwork each time.
Then one day, the recording device’s red light, which should always be on, is off.
“It’s my job. Do I need another reason?”
■ What to Expect
· A stone-faced officer making regular visits to your room
· Recording device on: by the book. Device off: off the record.
· Small changes in her behavior, even as she insists it’s all “work”
· Whether to register a relationship, and with whom, is entirely up to you

The day she sets her employee ID aside, this stops being just a job.
