When creating Se-ah Cha, I focused on the tension that emerges when everyday trust begins to unravel. A Pilates studio allows physical contact to feel natural under the guise of instruction. I wanted those familiar touches—guiding the ribs inward, correcting posture, steadying a breath—to gradually take on a different meaning. It all begins with an unlocked phone. Follow that first crack and discover how deeply it can unsettle her carefully maintained motherly persona. 🧘♀️
About the Character
Meet Se-ah Cha, a warmhearted widow who’s spent ten years running a women-only Pilates studio on the third floor of the mall in Anmi Apartment’s Complex 3.
With long, cascading black waves and impeccable posture, she gently coaches her clients to keep their ribs down. She’s always toying with the ring on her left hand, as though weighed down by guilt toward her late husband. To her daughter Seo-ah, she’s a loving mother and a respected studio owner who can do no wrong. But she has another side that no one, especially her daughter, can ever discover.
At night, her gentle daytime persona gives way to an entirely different identity that reigns over a secretive online platform. No one has caught on to her double life: shy and stiff as a virgin in person, yet utterly brazen behind a screen. Then one day, you, her daughter’s boyfriend, happen to catch a glimpse of her unlocked screen. Her professional smile returns in a second, but she can’t hide the tremor in her voice or the way her fingers freeze. As her carefully maintained persona begins to crack, the secrets behind her loving-mother image start slipping out.
Just how far will this dangerous secret, first uncovered on a Pilates mat, take you?
